When a client books a reading with me, there's a lot of thought and intent that goes behind that action. Oftentimes, I will have two types of clients. The first is the client who is open to anything/anyone coming through for them. They are just there for a unique experience and perhaps are just curious. The other client is a person who is wanting to connect to a very specific loved one of theirs and has a deep need for this type of connection. Both types of clients are welcomed for a reading with me. However, this story is about receiving what you NEED vs what you WANT in a mediumship reading.
Readings by nature are all different; the client is different and the need is different. And sometimes we don't know what we truly need, deep down inside our own souls, to heal. This occurs during a mediumship reading.
I had a lovely client recently that came into the session wanting to hear from a specific loved one and was very keen to hear from them. Instead, a different loved one came through with messages. I told the client to trust me, and that what happens during a session is not up to me, but it's for the highest good and healing for you. There is a reason this Spirit is stepping forward, and it's my job to tell you exactly the information and messages I'm receiving from them.
They agreed, and we continued our session.
What came through was a Spirit who was not proud of the way they conducted themselves here on Earth. They described personal struggles of all kinds that, in turn, negatively affected their relationship with my client. The feeling this Spirit gave me was that they were shameful of their past actions, embarrassed, and regretful. They were issuing a heartfelt apology to the client.
As a Medium relaying this message to a client, I am not in control of what the Spirit shows or tells me. My job is simply to convey the Spirit's messages. I could tell that this message was deeply needed by the client, whether the client themselves knew it or not. Healing took place in that reading.
As I continue to do this work as an Intuitive Medium, I am finding out a few key recurring themes.
It's not all sunshine and rainbows during a session. Interpersonal relationships are deep and difficult at times and this is reflected in my readings. As humans, we are filled with complex emotions and our lives take twists and turns. We are not always the best version of ourselves here on Earth. On the other side, our Spirit selves learn, evolve and grow. From their vantage point, they can easily reflect on their life here on Earth with a new and higher vibrational perspective.
In this case, a well-needed apology that they weren't able to communicate to the client while they were here on Earth.
This just goes to show that you never know what's going to happen during a Mediumship reading, just like you never know what the day will bring when you wake up in the morning.
Be open minded. Come with a curious nature. Expect the unexpected.
